The term Sherpa Jacket is more of a cultural association than a historically accurate reference to the Himalayas’ mountain people. While traditional Sherpas did wear real sheepskin—like the collar seen on the Furano jacket—the “Sherpa” label here refers to synthetic high-loft pile fleece.
